Counselling

Assessment and treatment plans are developed as part of the counselling process for children and youth. Children and youth generally participate in individual counselling sessions which may include their parent or caregiver. Treatment modalities used by therapists are individualized to meet the need of the client. All children and youth receive prevention education while in counselling, and group counselling is offered based on availability and client need.

The Centre provides education and support groups on a regular basis to parents and caregivers. The groups are designed to strengthen the family by providing timely information and support to parents and caregivers with similar concerns and experiences.
